Domia, an open‑source local voice agent

A voice agent that runs on hardware you own, built in the open and used every day.

Why it exists

A voice agent hears more of your life than any other software. Something that close should run on a machine you can unplug: what it hears, remembers and learns stays there, and nobody else gets a copy.

So Domia does the whole conversation on your hardware: it listens, thinks, speaks and acts through the skills you connect. Each Domia has its own name, voice and memory, and all three are yours to shape.

Principles

Local first
Speech, language and memory run on machines you own. No cloud, no central server, and the internet is optional.
Wherever people talk
A home, a hotel room, a booth at a park, a workshop, a reception desk: the same software, with a different name, voice and set of notes for each place.
One software, many roles
Every node runs the same software. Whether it listens, thinks or serves other rooms is configuration, not a different product.
Built in public
Open source under the Apache 2.0 license. The code, the tests and the benchmark tools are in public repositories, where anyone can read them, question them and change them.
